Lead Carpenter/Supervisor
Brock Construction Inc is seeking a lead carpenter/supervisor in the Farmville, Virginia area! We are offer competitive pay, ranging from $45,000 to $60,000, depending on your experience. There will be opportunities for motivated individuals to advance into management positions. We offer great benefits, including paid holiday, sick, and vacation time.
Duties:
- Oversee and lead carpentry projects from start to finish
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and other materials
- Install fixtures, cabinets, doors, windows, and other carpentry components
- Lay tiles and apply plaster or caulking as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete carpentry tasks
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites

Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a carpenter
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and construction estimating
- Strong knowledge of various carpentry techniques and materials, including heavy equipment operation
- Experience with framing, tile laying, plastering, and caulking
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

You must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check to work at government facilities.
